Meet Our Team

Ariel Stein – Forensic Accountant

Ariel graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and previously worked at research institutes focusing on sociology, education, and program evaluation in both New York and Boston. After moving to Los Angeles, he switched careers to forensic accounting here at FRR. Ariel looks forward to meeting you and working with you on all aspects of your case. In addition to his work here, Ariel is also the co-creator and editor-in-chief of the Jewish Literary Journal.


Briyana Trujillo – Forensic Accountant

Briyana is a Los Angeles native. Briyana went to school in New York, where she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in finance from St. John’s University in 2018. 

Briyana is our newest Forensic Accountant after having just been promoted in a year from her role as Document Manager. In her new role, she provides litigation support to the senior Forensic Accountants and CPAs. In her short time with FRR, she has proven herself to be an integral member of the team, where her superb attention to detail and meticulous organizational skills have shown through.

In her free time, she enjoys going to concerts.



Danny Dong, CPA – Tax Manager

Danny received his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from UC Santa Barbara in 2013 and has over 4 years of accounting experience. In 2016, he received his CPA license. He joined the FRR family in July of 2016 as a tax accountant. Because of his technical tax mastery and wonderful working relationship with his clients, he was promoted to “Tax Manager” in August 2017. He now oversees the tax department, which also includes our business management division. He is a member in good standing, of the California Society of CPAs.

Danny is originally from China and came to the United States in 2008. Currently, he lives in Pasadena with his wife. In his free time, Danny enjoys travelling, snowboarding and going to the movies.



Ellie Baker – Office Manager

Ellie has been FRR’s Office Manager since 2013. She is a Los Angeles native and was a double major in History and Political Science. She received her Bachelor’s degree from the College of Mount Saint Vincent, located in Riverdale, NY.

At FRR, she ensures the smooth day-to-day running of FRR’s administrative needs.

She lives in Sherman Oaks with her two sons. In her free time, she enjoys reading, traveling and karaoke – where her singing is second to none.



Harut Gzlyan – Document Manager

Harut is the newest member of the FRR family. A Los Angeles native and recent CSUN graduate (BS in Accounting), he plans on sitting for the CPA exam in the near future. He joins our firm as our new Document Manager where he oversees the day to day document management and quality assurance of our electronic filing and scanning division. Additionally, he provides support to both the litigation and business management team to ensure deadlines are met in a timely manner without compromising the quality of the work. In this role, he is able to learn about the many facets of forensic accounting with a hands on approach.

He currently resides in Van Nuys and enjoys exercising and watching movies in his free time.



Karen Pineda – Forensic Accountant

Karen is a forensic accountant with FRR. Prior to joining the FRR family, she worked for another CPA firm where she worked on both tax returns and litigation support. During this time, she was recognized as having a natural talent and acumen for forensic accounting. She now works exclusively in this niche with a primary focus in family law litigation matters. It goes without saying that she is passionate about her field and approaches each matter with diligence and extreme attention to detail.

Karen was born and raised in the Mexican state of Jalisco until the age of 12. In 2013, Karen received her Bachelor’s degree at California State University, Northridge and plans to obtain her CPA license in the near future.

Currently, Karen resides in the city of Bellflower. In her spare time, she enjoys her weekend bike rides at the beach, painting and driving her Mustang up and down the coast.



Mali Garfield – Manager

Mali has been a “numbers girl” since she was old enough to count. She began her career in accounting in 2006 with the original David Frankel Accountancy Corporation prior before it became Frankel Reichman & Rizzo LLP, where she worked with a wide range of clients. For Mali, it’s all about relationships. She has a thing for precise detail work on the Excel spreadsheets and schedules and she appreciates a challenge, but it’s getting to know her clients and helping them get through tough times that has kept her in the game for more than a decade.

Relationships are number one for Mali at home, too. She’s diligent about setting aside time for her husband and their children, and she makes it a point to visit family and help her community as much as possible. She is a native Los Angeles, Californian. She graduated from USC Leventhal School of Accounting.



Pavel Miller, CPA/CFE – Forensic Accountant

Pavel is a forensic accountant with FRR with an accreditation in Fraud Examination. In addition to working on litigation cases wherein, he conducts financial investigations, analyzes transactions, income streams, and records using inferential methods, he also prepares both individual and corporate tax returns.

He received a Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting from Cal State University, Northridge in 2013. He has been with FRR for 2 years. Prior to that, Pavel was an accountant for a small film distribution company in Hollywood, CA. He is a member in good standing of both the California Society of CPAs and the Association of Fraud Examiners.

Pavel is originally from the Ukraine and currently resides in West Hollywood with his two rescue dogs. He enjoys collecting religious relics while traveling and experimenting with new recipes.
